I also go by a shortened version of my full name, JROB (jay • robe).
I was born in Southaven, MS and raised in Memphis, TN. Growing up in Memphis has given me a drive and perspective that has molded me into the man and designer that I am today.
As a child, I was both very athletic and artistic. During the day, I was a football player who had aspirations of being drafted by the San Diego Chargers (Now Los Angeles). By night, I was sketching anime characters and portraits of celebrities.
This combination of talents led me to winning most artistic my senior year of high school, a 4 year, full athletic scholarship at Austin Peay State University, and a Masters degree in Advertising at Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta.
No, I did not make it to the NFL... but, after receiving my Masters from SCAD, I began my design career at the Atlanta University Center Robert W. Woodruff Library. I was a Graphic Designer who contributed greatly to the AUC's visual presence. This two year experience was very rewarding and I am forever grateful for the AUC for allowing me this opportunity.

I am a versatile designer who can succeed in many environments, but I would thrive most in my fields of interest: technology, sports, finance and investing. I hope to design for companies that have a deep appreciation for the craft of design and have a purpose that I can resonate with. In essence, I want to help build products where people can create as much value for themselves and others.
I am passionate at pursuing my career goals, but I also enjoy relaxing with creative side projects, watching and playing sports, trying new food spots that my fiance finds on tik tok, and staying up to date with the stock market. I am an entrepreneur at heart and always consuming new information on how to advance as a freelance designer, day trader and investor.
